Seafood is thought to be a source of useful elements, it promotes brain development. But it’s better to evade eating much fish (some types of fish contain large amount of mercury which can lead to autism, for instance sword fish, tilefish, tuna). It’s safe to eat little portions of cod, catfish and salmon. Fruits and vegetables should be thoroughly washed; otherwise chemicals used to fertilize the soil where they were grown can influence your future child.
There’s no necessity to say that alcohol, tobacco and drugs are strictly forbidden during pregnancy. Such substances can have a severe impact on your baby.
